Dear Associate Member,
Thank you for your faithfulness in remembering us in your prayers, as well as for your support for the month of February, 2007.
On March the 4th, 2007 the Feast of Esther is observed based on the book of Esther in the Old Testament. The faithfulness and dedication of Queen Esther before the Lord for the people of Israel was indeed courageous. Her determination in helping the Jewish people brought forth a decree from the King, that as the enemies of the children of Abraham were to be slaughtered, they were allowed to defend themselves, and the result was, that they had the victory over Haman and his followers, known today as, Anti-Semites.
Here is a good reminder for each one of us to remember and share with others that God’s promise to those that bless the Jewish people is found in Genesis 12: 3, ‘I will bless them, that bless thee; and, curse him that curseth thee’, is still in effect today. In every age and in every place all of those that have determined to curse and even kill the children of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob have met with God’s justice.
You and I, together continue to bless the Jewish people as we present them with the Good News of Salvation through Jesus Christ our Lord, and thus, as we bless them, the Lord blesses us, over and over.
We at Shalom Scripture Studies are your voice and feet in reaching out in love to a lost people that God says, ‘Comfort ye, Comfort ye, my people’, (Isaiah 40).
We are small in numbers and resources, but God, chooses to use us for His honor and glory through our television programs, our internet web pages and our Gospel literature, all of which, is propagated all over the world. To Him be glory and honor, both now and forever.
A SAD NOTE: On February the 23rd (Friday), 2007, Marc Edward Hidalgo (age 45), at 12:00 noon, was ushered into the kingdom of God after a brief illness in Tampa, Florida.
He was rushed to the Hospital early in the morning on the previous Saturday, and shortly thereafter ‘he flat-lined’ (no heartbeat), he was then revived, but subsequently expired seven days later. We are grieved at heart, but know that someday soon we will be re-united in heaven with our blessed Lord. Marc was Dr. Hidalgo’s first-born son. (I Thess. 4: 13-18)
